Mission
Founded in 1992, Habitat for Humanity of Anderson County is an ecumenical ministry that builds simple, decent and affordable houses with participating families; working with diverse individuals, organizations, and faith communities to serve others.

Christian Ministry
Based on Christian principles, Habitat welcomes people from all walks of life to join in our mission.

A Hand Up, Not a Hand Out
Habitat does not give houses away.  We offer a hand-up to those in need by providing zero-interest mortgages and homeownership training.

Cost of a House
It is the time and financial investments from generous volunteers and donors that enables us to keep our costs low.

Criteria for Family Selection
Habitat has three criteria:  need, ability to pay, and willingness to partner.

Profits from The Habitat Home Store are used to further the mission of Habitat for Humanity of Anderson County by helping to build affordable houses for low-income families in need.
